About Us

Our Story

In the early 90’s The Buster Family moved their father Ester (Pete) Buster from Texarkana, Texas to the Dallas area after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. After living with family members through the next few years the family began seeking day to day relief as his needs changed. The Buster’s sought quality care for their Father that would keep him in the community with his family. During their search for an adult day care center the family realized there was a lack of support in the South Dallas, Oak Cliff area for this type of service.

With help from family and friends, Christian Heights Adult Day & Health Care was formed to fill the void and close the gap in care. In 1994, Sister’s Carolyn Buster-Greer, LMSW and Helen Buster-Simon together with husbands Larry Greer & Gus Simon; Brother Charlie Buster, Sister Mary Ann Buster, Niece Brenda Thomas, Faye Carter,LVN, & Peggy Stevenson,RN opened the family-owned and operated Christian Heights Community Care program proudly serving the community for over twenty-five years.
